Artist Peter Stanaway

Peter Stanaway was born in 1943. He has a Bachelor of Education (Hons.) Degree, educated at the De La Salle Training College and Manchester University. Peter is also a member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Arts.

Peter's work has been exhibited at the Manchester City Art Gallery, Salford Art Gallery, Bury Art Gallery, Stockport Art Gallery, St. Edmund's Church, Lees, Oldham Art Gallery, Saddleworth Museum and Gallery, Liverpool Cathedral and at various Commercial Art Galleries including, for many years, Todmorden Fine Art.

Peter Stanaway's paintings are sharp, graphic and attractively stylised. His style of painting is very much his own, yet everywhere there are flavours of William Roberts, Keith Vaughan and Fernand Leger. For some years, Peter Stanaway's works have been attracting the attention of serious collectors from many parts of the UK.
